Delta’s cooperation in the Special Olympics,
whose actives are designed for athletes with
special needs, continues and expands. In May,

associates from Delta Israel participated in a
volunteer activity to help out with a track and
field event held in the Hadar Yosef Stadium
(
TLV)

manager of Delta’s outlet store
in Bnei Brak, who joined the company a year
ago, helped out at the secretarial booth. She
recorded results, calculated scores and had a
great time.

This was the first time I volunteered - but it
definitely will not be the last! I never imagined
how much the activity for people with special
needs gives to the volunteers. Our good words
and encouragement were so meaningful for
them - and their excitement warmed our hearts.
This lent me a sense of belonging and I enjoyed
giving of myself. Meeting with colleagues and
managers from the Delta store chain was also
an excellent opportunity to get to know one
another in a non-business atmosphere, and it
had a group building effect.
I would be delighted to participate in many such
activities!
