Building a Green Future - Shikun & Binui with the Community and the Environment Shikun & Binui adopted the IDF’s counter-terrorism battalion, with the aim of supporting the soldiers and helping them, giving them warmth and care and expressing our gratitude for their service to the State. In the adoption process, various joint activities are conducted with the aim of strengthening the relationship between the Group and the battalion, as well as encouraging joint action for Israeli society. These included hosting the battalion’s soldiers for a celebratory drink during the holidays and participation in the battalion’s events and ceremonies; engaging the soldiers in events surrounding the Tu Bishvat plantings and activities of the ‘Day of Good Deeds’; sending gift packages prepared by children from our adopted schools for the soldiers; and more. The Group also contributes necessary equipment and gives the soldiers gifts, such as gift parcels for the holidays and warm coats for winter. Adopt a Soldier Two years of warmly adopting soldiers from the counter-terrorism unit In 2009 we joined the ‘Adopt a Soldier’ campaign sponsored by AWIS (Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers). As part of this campaign, some of the leading companies of the Israeli economy accompany and help IDF soldiers.
