Annual Global Sales Conference of the Plastics Division, 2012
The global sales conference of
the Plastics Division took place
this year in Italy. From 21 to 24 March
some 40 Nilit Plastics employees from
around the world convened in Verona,
near Lake Garda and they included
members of the Division’s management,
sales personnel and members of the
technical team who support the
Division’s sales activity. On the first day
of the conference,
Michael Levi
,
Chairman of Nilit,
Arie Gottlieb
,
General Manager of Nilit and
Zvika
Jakobovitz
,
Nilit’s
CFO,
also
participated; they emphasized the
importance of the Plastics Division’s
activity and its great contribution to the
company’s growth.
Ilan Melamed
,
Plastics Division
Managing Director, reviewed the Plastics
Division’s important activities and its
achievements in the previous year and
the Division’s main goals for 2012 were
presented, primarily continuing growth
in Europe while improving profitability
and expanding activity in China.
The conference also provided the
first opportunity for
Arno Wolf
,
the
Division’s new VP for Sales in Europe,
to present his personal credo regarding
the development of the Division’s sales
department.
Two days of the event were devoted
to discussions and lectures, including
presentations by representatives of
the various departments: Sales, R&D,
Marketing and Finance. New products
were presented, success stories were
told and the three-year divisional
development plan was presented. All
the presentations were on an extremely
high level and it was apparent that a
great deal of thought and work was put
into their preparation.
An additional day was devoted to
getting to know Verona and for team
bonding, via group tasks and challenges
that included interaction with the
residents and getting acquainted with
the romantic side of the city of Romeo
and Juliet.
Special thanks are due to
Chiara
Mariano
and
Stefano Antonini
who
organized the conference in impeccable
fashion!
AVisit by Apprentices from Nilit Plastics Germany at Arburg
A group of seven apprentices
from NPG left in April for a day
trip that included a bonding visit at the
experiential Experimenta Museum and a
guided tour at Arburg, which is a leading
global manufacturer of injection
machines, as well as a developer of
advanced robotic systems, for assisting
sophisticated injection processes for
plastic products.
The apprentices viewed a film that
showed how Arburg developed from a
small family firm into a global exporter
of technology that employs some 1700
workers, 120 of whom are apprentices.
Arburg tutors its electronics technician
apprentices in automation technology,
industrial mechanics, technical product
design and more.
One of the apprentices summarized his
impressions from the visit: A change of
perspective could help us see the world
through different eyes.At the end of the
day, we were able to gather ideas for
future development of our own training
activities.
